WOW Playmat and Toys Review
WOW’s high quality play-mat certainly got a WOW from me when I opened the parcel the post-man dropped off! It was rolled up with no creases or folds so it sat perfectly flat onto the floor, straight from the packaging.
The mat features colourful, bright & interactive themed areas that little ones will easily identify with. I can see why Wow’s main motto is ‘No Batteries Required’ as imaginations can run free with themes such as shops, a play school, country fields, a playground, a construction site and many more as they easily move & manoeuvre from one play theme to the next. We like to use the different areas to learn about colours, animals & buildings etc.
It’s brilliantly educational, practical & functional. The WOW play-mat is ideal for children’s bedrooms, the grandparents house, childminders, doctors/dentists, indoor play areas, schools and nurseries.
Made from crease resistant and soft fabric, the play-mat’s underside is covered in non-slip rubber for added safety. We’ve already had a heart stopping stain moment but I shouldn’t have worried so much, the ‘stain’ was easily cleared up with a wet cloth & some frantic elbow grease within 2 minutes!
The guide age says ‘Suitable for 3 years+’ but Xander has just turned 1 and its he simply loves it. We got Robbie Racer http://www.wowtoys.com/toys/robbie-racer/ & George’s Dragon Talehttp://www.wowtoys.com/toys/georges-dragon-tale/ with the playmat. George’s Dragon Tale comes with Sir George, Smokey the Dragon, a Chariot & boulder to launch. I thought’d we’d have lost the boulder by now but its survived many a play date. Robbie Racer makes brilliant realistic sounds & both are easily available online and in all good toy stores!
The Playmat dimensions are:
Length= 150 Width= 100 (cm)
Width= 59.1 Width= 39.4 (inches)
This is something the whole family can get down & involved with. My boy loves it when mummy & daddy are down on the floor with him.
RRP is £24.99 & the range of Non PVC Toys is quite extensive! (Seehttp://www.wowtoys.com/toys/ for full catalogue)
Another great product Mummynews, it gets top marks from us all.

Wilko Play Wooden Noah's Ark Toy Review

Wilko Play Wooden Noah's Ark

Wilko Play Wooden Noah's Ark
All the animal’s went two by two…
Contents: 2 Monkeys / 2 Elephants / 2 Giraffes / 2 Zebras / 2 Lions / 2 Sheep / 1 Ark / Noah and his wife.
Develop recognition of animal shapes & problem solving.
Ages: 2+ Years.
This took a while to arrive but no longer than normal really. If you were to order it online for Christmas 2012 you’d definitely get it in time!
When you open the box you are greeted by the sweet smell of wood, taking me back to my childhood instantly!
It took us less than 2 minutes to put the whole ark together & start playing :D There are 5 pieces to slot together in total and as de  clean should sticky fingers get hold of it!
Lovely, bright engaging colours make it just what my inquisitive boy is into at the moment. He is under the ‘recommended age’ but I think it’s perfect for the development stage.
All in all I’m very happy, from the build quality, cute little wooden animals to the packaging. I’d say this would be the perfect present for a young friend or family member for Christmas. It’s certainly worth the RRP of £15.00.
We’ve been reading Noah’s Ark at bedtime in the lead up to the festive season so this is a great chance for me to show him what is in the story!
